This gentle 4 mile hike from Dune Peninsula Park to Ft. Nisqually in Point Defiance Park, Tacoma, can apply toward your GoHike Graduation! These will have a gentle pace.

Carpooling with anyone outside your household is not recommended at this time due to the risk of Covid-19.

There are restrooms at the trailhead and at the lunch spot (Fort Nisqually).  No parking pass is required at Dune Peninsula Park.

 We start out on a wide concrete path leading over a pedestrian overpass to Point Defiance Park, pass by the historic Pagoda and through the Japanese Garden to the Fort Nisqually picnic area, our lunch stop and turnaround point.
