Field trip: GoHike: Beginner Hiking Course
April Hikes: 2.5 - 5 miles, 250 - 1,000 feet gain - Cougar Mountain: Sky Country Trailhead
Hike in the Snoqualmie foothills near Issaquah through mixed forest among glacial erratic boulders, ferns, mosses and some local history. Visit an abandoned coal mineshaft too!! This hike can apply toward your GoHike Graduation! These will have a gentle pace.

Meet at trailhead at 3:30pm. Directions to trailhead parking lot are on the back of the trail map that will be provided in pre-hike email.
NOTE: leader will be on vacation May 3-14 with limited access to email.
We will link together several trails making for a variety of scenery and terrain.
We will also visit an abandoned shaft (now safely grated) from the late 1800's that is several hundred feet deep!! Found on Mine Shaft Trail of course. Get a special club-issued Bravery Badge if you dare to walk across the grating.
