  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

6:30-9PM at the Newcastle Library in the Coal Creek neighborhood of Bellevue,  12901 Newcastle Way, Newcastle, WA 98056

This one-night clinic will provide new and long-time hikers and backpackers with some basic skills and information to handle the most common first-aid situations encountered on trails:   blisters, sprains, hypothermia, wound care, splints and slings as time permits. We will also review Mountaineers club protocols for responding to emergency situations.   DOES NOT SATISFY THE WFA REQUIREMENT FOR OTHER MOUNTAINEERS COURSES.
