Essential Trip Planning Skills and Tools for Backpackers - Online Classroom

This clinic will introduce the basic information, skills and tools to help you find the best destination for your trip and develop a trip plan including route, camps, food, water, gear, transportation and emergency plans, to help you prepare for a safe and successful adventure.

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

This program will begin promptly at 6:30PM and end at 9PM.   The zoom login details will be emailed to everyone on the roster in the week before the session.

At this clinic backpackers will be intrduced to some helpful tips,  handy online and digital tools and templates  to select a destination, get necessary information about topography, water, camps, access, seasonal trail conditions and  weather, and develop a trip plan including route and camps, transportation, gear, food, water and emergency alternatives.
