Backpacking Building Blocks Student-Only Backpack - Suiattle River
This field trip will give B3 students the opportunity to try out gear and new skills on an easy overnight backpack with an experienced mentor. It is a two day, one night, 15 miles round trip moderate backpack trip with 1,000’ elevation gain along the west Glacier Peak Wilderness`s Suiattle River.

Suiattle River trailhead, Saturday, May 18, 10am with NW Forest Pass
This is a lovely early season river walk along the glacial Suiattle River that flows off the west flanks of Glacier Peak. We`ll hike 7 ½ evenly graded forest miles to the spacious Pacific Crest Trail camp. A great trip to get the hiking legs moving and dial-in your gear for the season.
