Backpacking Building Blocks Student-Only Backpack - Lyman Lakes via Spider Gap

This area east of Glacier peak is a challenging but rewarding three day trip. Synthesize everything you`ve learned in the B3 course and have fun in this beautiful alpine area. B3 students in Lorelei and Sarah`s mentor group have priority signup through Friday, June 11. Leader`s permission required after that date; email Sarah at hess@whidbey.com.

Meet at Trinity trailhead at the end of the Chiwawa River Road (via Hwy 2 and Lake Wenatchee) at 9am Friday morning to set up short shuttle to our starting trailhead.  We`ll depart at 9:20am.

Day 1: Hike through Spider Meadows to the toe of the Spider Glacier. A great kickoff to further adventures.

Day 2: Snow climb over Spider Gap at 7100', lunch and explorations at upper Lyman Lake basin.  Return to camp.

Day 3: Descend  to Spider Meadow and walk along Phelps Creek to our car shuttle at the trailhead.
