Backpacking Building Blocks Student-Only Backpack - Scott Paul Trail & Park Butte
This B3 Backpack will explore the Park Butte area/lookout, Railroad Grade lateral moraine, Meadow Point, and return to the trailhead via the Scott Paul trail. One of the best trips in Washington. This trailhead is off the Baker Lake road from SR-20 near Hamilton. Meet at Schriebers Meadow Friday morning ready to go at 9am. We`ll depart at 9:15am.
Tent sharing to minimize camp space will be encouraged.
Day 1: Hike 3 miles to Cathedral Camp (Mazama camp is an alternate adding 0.7 miles) and day hike to the lookout for dinner.
Day 2: The Railroad Grade and cross country to Meadow Point (weather dependent) will be our 7 miles of fun today.
Day 3: Return to Schreibers Meadow trailhead via the 7 mile Scott Paul trail.
