Backpacking Building Blocks Student-Only Backpack - Packwood Lake
Spend the night at two-mile-long Packwood Lake on the outskirts of the Goat Rocks Wilderness, just southeast of Mount Rainier National Park. The low elevation and easy access (just 600 feet of gain over five miles) make the lake a great snow-free way to kick off the backpacking season!

Packwood this time of year are a high of 69F during the day and a low of 45F at night. This is a popular lake on a popular weekend so expect some crowds.
