9AM at the trailhead.  Google map location:  https://goo.gl/maps/u3eXVX8SQZH2

I will be driving up Friday afternoon 6/15 to car camp and I’d really love to have some folks join me for a fire and some games and socializing, probably some BBQ!

** LEADERS PERMISSION REQUIRED ONLY SO I CAN BE SURE TO TALK TO ALL WHO SIGN UP – PLEASE READ ALL NOTES BELOW **

** NOTE: Location depends on trail condition, we may relocate but the trip will be kept to maximum 6 mile roundtrip and 1,000’ max elevation gain – my goal is to keep it well below those**

** Due to the low mileage, we will end up at our camp relatively early in the day (sometime between 11am and 1pm). Therefore we will either set up camp and take a day hike from there, or we will hang out in camp the rest of the day playing games and socializing or whatnot.

We will hike at a slow leisurely pace, taking frequent breaks - photography is encouraged.  To keep the group together we may opt to have the slowest hiker lead. We will stop for an extended lunch (~20 minutes) or when we get to camp. We will break camp and head back to our cars Sunday morning starting around 9am.

** NOTE ** This trip is *NOT* recommended if:

  • you prefer to read in your tent the whole rest of the day once you get in camp (this trip is meant for those that like to be social)
  • you think you're going to get super bored the rest of the day if we reach our camp early in the day
  • you like to keep to yourself on a hike and would prefer not to talk to others
  • you are awake earlier than 5am and get really bored waiting for other folks to wake up
  • you don't like, or have problems with, hiking at a slower pace
