BACKPACKING BUILDING BLOCKS BASICS LECTURE 1 - Mountaineers Seattle Program Center

This lecture, required for graduation from the B3 course, covers skills and gear important to comfort and safety on the trail during a backpack trip.

The program starts at 6:30PM sharp in Goodman A at the Mountaineers Seattle Program Center, and ends at 9PM.

This lecture introduces students to the concepts behind managing pack weight to balance comfort at camp with comfort on the trail, and then proceeds to review a number of basic skills and techniques related to  the part of any backpack trip that is on the trail.  A number of hands on practical exercises with your mentor group will be a part of this session.
