  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

Join us at the Mercer Island public library's large meeting from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Free parking is available in the library's parking lot.

Join us to learn from our expert guest, Michele Pettinger of P3 Running, a Seattle-based collective of coaches who are knowledgeable on all aspects of training, performance and recovery.  Michele will address:

  • Training: mileage, uphill and downhill practice, workout specificity, strength training, training to race profiles
  • Race nutrition: fueling, before, during, and after ultra training runs and races
  • Race execution: race-specific planning, preparing for different elements, selecting a crew/crewing, what to do when things go sideways
