Time: 8:45am for introductions. On trail and running by 9:00am.

There are no restrooms available at this trailhead.
GETTING THERE
Take Exit 15 off of I-90 and turn right onto 17th Ave. Continue for ~4 mile (17th Ave becomes Renton/Issaquah Road). Turn right onto SE May Valley Rd and then turn right onto SE 112th St which becomes 169th Ave SE as it curves left. The trailhead in on that curve, on your right. Park along 169th Ave.
Take Exit 10 off of I-405 onto Coal Creek Pkwy heading south. Turn left to May Valley Rd and continue for 2.3 miles. Turn left onto SE 112th St which becomes 169th Ave SE as it curves left. The trailhead in on that curve, on your right. Park along 169th Ave.
We will start out by running on the Licorice Fern Trail 1.3 miles to the Indian Trail junction, from there we will run along the Indian Trail 0.5 miles, at that point we will take a short side trail that drops down to Far Country Falls for a quick breather. After our short stop we will retrace our route back to the Licorice Fern trailhead and our cars.
(Side note: Far Country Falls may or may naught have water flowing this time of year. Don't expect much)
Capacity will be adjusted in accordance with current public health guidance and Mountaineers COVID-19 policy.
Required Equipment
Please wear layers of breathable, technical clothing suitable for outdoor aerobic activities.
- Waterproof jacket, hat, buff, gloves, sunglasses.
- Trail running shoes
- A runners vest or small day pack
- Bring snacks and water.
