5:30pm at the Pacific Crest Trailhead, southbound. This trailhead is in the upper  Summit West parking lot. (Not the parking lot closer to the Alpental access road.)

If you're heading east from Seattle: take exit 52 from I-90. Turn right from the interstate off-ramp, then the parking lot for Summit West is on your right. The PCT trailhead is tucked away at the far end of an upper section of the parking lot. Please see this map:

We'll follow the Pacific Crest Trail southbound from Snoqualmie Pass to Lodge Lake and a little beyond before turning around and retracing our steps.
