We're hosting 2 field trips starting from the Mowich Lake Road in Mt. Rainier National Park on this date: Tolmie Peak Lookout (easier) and an excursion on the Wonderland Trail (longer and more difficult). We've posted the loop around Mother Mountain as a potential route, but we may just go out and back along the Wonderland Trail from the Mowich Lake Road depending on participant interest and leaders' judgment.

First-come, first-served walk-in primitive camping is available at the Mowich Lake campground. It's about a mile from the road. See: https://www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/campgrounds.htm

A field trip to a backcountry location, e.g., a trail off the I-90 corridor or the Pacific Crest Trail, to reinforce what you have learned and evaluate your learning.
