Practice the skills taught in the AIARE curriculum to plan and execute a circumnavigation of Chair Peak. As time allows, we may also practice companion rescue and/or make a side trip to the skier's summit of Roosevelt Peak.

  • M3 Expert Ski
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 8.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,500 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 5,500 ft

Meet at the Alpental parking lot at 7AM ready to discuss our trip plan and begin travel. Plan for a full day of travel and activities, with significant elevation gain and challenging skiing.

This is a seminar for Foothills AIARE instructors only to refresh AIARE course route selections, Fieldbook use, and avalanche rescue skills. DO NOT sign up for this seminar unless you are a current Foothills AIARE instructor (current Ski and Snowboard Mountaineering instructors may also register). Please check with the leader before registering if you are unsure.
