  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

Please plan to be at Evergreen Middle School no later than 6:30 p.m.   We will wrap up no later than 9:00 p.m.

Topics of instruction will include selection and use of proper equipment, conditioning, what to rent, where to go, how to plan and evaluate snowshoe routes to avoid avalanche risk, winter travel, safety, and choosing an outing. Students will be eligible to participate in basic snowshoe tours with the confidence of having a foundation in winter travel.

The second lecture is a joint lecture with the Everett Nordic (CrossCounty) Ski Course.  The Ski and Snowshoe Courses are non-interfering – which means you can take both.
