Meet at 9:00AM at swim beach at Flowing Lake County Park.  Be ready to launch and begin clinic at 10:00 AM. 

We will be finished by 4:00 PM.

A voluntary/optional/no-host post-clinic rehydration and energy replacement dinner will be scheduled for a local restaurant in Snohomish.  Details to follow.

This is an all day clinic for all Everett Sea Kayak instructors, assistants, and future instructors and assistants.  We will practice and learn how to teach the Basic Kayak Course students.  We demonstrate and practice the entire gamut of skills including:

  • Wet Exits and Self Rescues
  • Assisted Rescues
  • Paddle Strokes

Required Equipment

All equipment for a kayak day trip on open water including dressing for immersion.  I'd suggest, but won't mandate, a dry-suit.  If you choose a wet suit please be advised that the water in Flowing Lake in late March is usually colder than the Puget Sound and you will be in that water quite a bit.
