Pre-Trip Skills Practice - Possession Sound

Launch at 9:30 AM. Cross Possession Sound to Clinton Beach Park. Paddle N. to Langley for a lunch stop on the beach. Cross back toward Camano or Hat Island before returning to the launch site.

Meet at Edgewater Beach in Mukilteo for a 9:30 am launch. To get there, head toward the Mukilteo ferry along Mukilteo Speedway (speed limit 35) but before arriving at the ferry turn right onto 2nd, then the first left onto Park, stay on that as it turns into Mukilteo Lane (maybe) parallel to train tracks.  Then cross the tracks onto 1st, leading into a parking lot.

This is a pre-trip practice session for participation on  the Quatsino to Tofino trip  . Space may or may not be available for additional participants. Please check the Leader's notes for additional information about content and availability!

The kayaking essentials (see below) plus the Ten Essentials. Additional equipment may be required by the leader - please check the Leader's notes for additional information!

  1. Flotation in both ends of the kayak
  2. U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
  3. Paddle
  4. Spray skirt
  5. Bilge pump with flotation
  6. Self-rescue paddle float
  7. Waterproof whistle
  8. Appropriate clothing and immersion wear for the conditions
