This IGC field trip provides practical field experience on roped glacier travel on more technical terrain. Skills include use of snow and ice anchors, running belays, French technique, crevasse rescue and more advanced travel, navigation and rescue skills.

Required Equipment

Standard Glacier Travel Gear – Including helmet, harness, ascending kit, ice axe, crampons, headlamp, slings, biners

Overnight Gear – Sleep System, Shelter

Hero Loops (prussic slings just big enough to pull over your helmet)
