Arrive by 9:20am to take the 9:30 ferry to Lummi Island as a passenger. Park in the area by the ferry dock, or in the authorized areas of Lummi View Drive. Walk the short distance from parking to the ferry.

The trail to Baker Preserve might have muddy areas, so bring trekking poles, and waterproof shoes/boots.

Bring a lunch as there are very limited food services on the island. As the trail to Baker Preserve has a group limit of six, we will split into two groups at a point near the Otto Preserve. One group will first hike Otto Preserve, while the other continues to Baker Preserve. After the two groups have completed both of the preserves, we will regroup at the Heritage Trust Resource Center and continue on, eventually returning to the ferry dock.

This hike on Lummi Island is part of the Island Hikes Series led by Julie Miller (206-283-1406. julandmil@comcast.net) and Kathy Biever (206-283-9047. eskay39@comcast.net).
