Join us at REI in Bend to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Trail Systems Act and the Pacific Crest Trail, and start planning a PCT hike of your own—on your own terms. Eli Boschetto, author of Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail: Oregon and director of PCT: Oregon, will break down the Oregon portion of the PCT into easily-accessible sections that can be hiked in as little as a few days, to longer portions of a week or more.

If you’re new to long-distance hiking, there will be tips for gearing up, food management, trail safety and hiking best practices. The program will also include an update on the condition of the PCT in Oregon following the devastating fires of 2017, and what hikers should expect in 2018.

If hiking a portion of the PCT is on your to-do list this year, this is a must-attend event. Plus, all attendees can enter for an awesome Montbell gear giveaway!
