The Nederland Community Library is pleased to present Heather Hansen, journalist and author who will talk about her experiences in writing Wildfire: On the Line with Station 8. Throughout the 2016 wildfire season, journalist Heather Hansen witnessed and documented the actions of the Station 8 crew in Boulder, Colorado. Wildfire shares the hardships and experiences of the firefighters who try, sometimes in vain, to prevent destruction when a spark flares out of control. Using the Cold Springs Fire of 2016 as a case-study, Hansen takes us through the drama of wildland fire.
