You don't have to be an über-hiker to enjoy a journey on the Pacific Crest Trail in Oregon. And while the PCT is closed and this year's hiking season may still be in question, there's no reason not to think ahead. Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail: Oregon guidebook author and Oregon PCT expert Eli Boschetto will share his top tips for planning your own PCT adventure. Topics will include trip planning, gear selection, trail safety, permit requirements, and changes to the trail since the devastating 2017 wildfires. And you don't have to hike it all at once. Eli will break down the Oregon portion of the PCT into easily-accessible sections that can be hiked in as little as a few days, to longer portions of a week or more—all at your own pace.

Oregon Wild's Chandra LeGue will also be on hand to talk about Oregon's Ancient Forests: A Hiking Guide and Oregon Wild's efforts to protect public lands and wild places.

This event is free and open to the public. Please register to attend in order to have access to the presentation.
