Spend Weekends Hosting at Beautiful Baker Lodge!

Hosts open The Mountaineers lodge at Mount Baker, prepare food menus, supervise and assist meal preparation, operate the lodge, and ensure a welcoming, pleasant, mountain stay where individuals, families, friends and groups of all ages can explore, learn about, experience and enjoy summer and winter outdoor backcountry activities in a friendly, communal and supportive environment. Seattle Office Under Construction

Starting August 1, our Seattle Program Center staff office will be under construction. With an active and growing membership, The Mountaineers staff is expanding too. Website Update Report 3-Months Post-Launch

Nearly three months ago we launched our new website - Mountaineers.org 2.0 - culminating a process that began almost three years ago. The new website allows us to take a more holistic approach to how we use technology to make the most impact for the most people. The technology we selected is more flexible and adaptable than our old system, which means it allows for continuous improvement. Gone are the days of building a website and then leaving it to month ball. We have a budget and new processes to make continuous improvements. And while as a nonprofit we don't have unlimited resources, we are proud to make the most of what we do have and to be as efficient as possible in serving you! Read more…

Donate Stoves and Lanterns for Residents Affected by Wildfires

The Mountaineers is collecting stoves and lanterns for those in the Methow region that have lost their homes and/or are without power due to the Carleton Fires. A significant number of people are also without running water or hot water. Read more…
