A lovely day practicing snow and rock skills and finding a lost ice axe.
I’m surprised that this scramble isn’t listed more frequently. The bike approach is enjoyable and the scramble itself offers a variety of terrain and scenery. It requires a long day but offers a great reward!
A fantastic route that allows one to know what its like climbing in the alpine with the ability to still clip bolts! Is this Europe?!
Beautiful destination on a perfect day, followed the lower Elliot Creek Trail #647 to and from the lake.
Rewarding challenging scramble to a Beautiful Lake.
Peru’s Huayhuash Circuit delivered massive peaks, majestic meadows, camaraderie, and trail-running donkeys to an intrepid group of 14 Mountaineers. 5 days of acclimatization day hikes followed by 10 days on the circuit. 120 miles, reaching as high as 16,600ft.
Highly recommend this loop if you’re looking for a classic Olympic backpacking trip without big climbs but with big scenery, and ancient secrets.
Spectacular 2-day climb of Snowfield Peak above the clouds.
We had a nice weather day with a great group for an outing on The Tooth.
It had been a long day but we were all satisfied that it had been well spent in good company on beautiful Hammersley Inlet!
I led a group of 7 CHS-1 students on a beautiful early morning hike with 16 bird species, 3 dozen rescued slugs, an encounter with a geocacher, and we were down to the cars by noon. Doesn't get any better!
Two-day climb of Mt Daniel via the Lynch Glacier.
Climbed the Classic Route on Unicorn Peak in great conditions. Summit has a brand new register.
This is a premier spring scramble. The lollipop route we took offered grand views of jagged snowy mountains in all directions.
