La Push is an excellent venue for intermediate/advanced Rock Gardening outing/course. Close variety and proximity of features.
Nice, flat hike in the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River area followed by a invigorating climb to the Garfield Ledges overlook. 8.5 miles overall.
Our group of seven spent 7 days on the The San Juan River paddling from Sand Island, near Bluff, Utah, 83 river miles downstream to Clay Hills. Along the way we hiked and explored the washes and canyons containing Puebloan ruins, rock art and breathtaking scenery.
At 1,030 CFS a fun outing worth repeating. Much more action than Lower White. We had the added bonus of spotting a UFO in the form of a white orb hovering over the ridge as we approached Greenwater.
Crew was successful learning and applying basic skills on a medium weather day! All did well!
Wildflowers put on a good show! Steep trail, especially near the peak. Windy up on the ridge. Trail in good condition.
This day hike on the Upper Dungeness trail to Camp Handy was part of the new Olympic River Rambler series, offered through the Tacoma Hiking & Backpacking Committee.
What started out as a splendid day on the river turned into a long slog with several unpleasant nuisances on the lower half - several portages, gun shots, buffeted by wind and dirt on the last mile. No longer one of my favorite class II runs and probably won't repeat it again.
Beautiful evening for a hike to a dinner spot with a view.
Great hike for getting some workout done. Both uphill and downhill has some steep sections testing our balance and stability.
Successful winter scramble of Moolock mountain in middlefork on apr 13 with bicycle approach and snow shoe to the saddle and summit
Fun trip despite water level close to minimum. Group dealt well with some complicated swims.
Perfect evening for a hike to the falls.
