West Fork Teanaway River (winter)

This area offers multiple choices in difficulty and destination for snowshoeing and skiing using old logging roads or simply choosing appropriate open terrain. On weekends, there may be moderate snow machine use, but there is so much area that conflicts are minimal. Once above the valley floor, the views to the Stuart Range open up.

Directions & Parking

The trailhead is where the West Fork Teanaway Road is gated year-round. In winter the West Fork Teanaway Road is plowed to a point just over a mile from the turnoff from the North Fork Teanaway Road. Should be easily accessible by all vehicles as long as West Fork Teanaway Road is plowed and there is plenty of parking on south side of the road.
