Upper Lena Lake

A very strenuous, 14 mile hike with an elevation gain of 3,900 ft. The last part of this hike is where the trail gets rough and steep, but the views of Mount Lena and Mount Bretherton are worth it.

on the trail

You will bypass Lower Lena Lake to gain access to the trail to Upper Lena Lake.  After Lena Lake, the trail bounces alongside Lena Creek and meadows alongside the creek.  After crossing the creek, is where the real work begins as you ascend to Upper Lena Lake.
