Snow Lake (Snoqualmie, winter)

A strenuous snowshoe trip of up to 10 miles and 1600 feet of elevation gain, off of Snoqualmie Pass. Views of Denny Peak, The Tooth, and Chair Peak along the way.

From the Alpental ski area, the Snow Lake Trail stretches out along a southwest-facing hillside above a creek.  The trail climbs steadily.  Just before the Source Lake overlook, the Snow Lake Trail switchbacks up to a saddle from which you can overlook Snow Lake.  Depending on conditions and motivation, enjoy the view from here or continue down the other side to the lake.

Be sure to check the NWAC avalanche report before heading out, as this route crosses several avalanche chutes.
