Plain Valley Nordic Ski Trails

A cross-country ski and snowshoe trail system that starts at Plain Hardware not far from Stevens Pass. There are great trails for learning plus some challenging hills and fun descents.

getting there

From US 2 east of Stevens Pass, turn left (north) onto SR 207 towards Lake Wenatchee and then right onto Beaver Valley Road. Plain Hardware is on the left.

Skiing can start right across the road from the hardware store or at the public access and parking lot at the midway point along the Chiwawa Loop Road and also at the north end of the system at the Thousand Trails/Clear Creek Lodge complex.

about the trail system

There are 14+ miles of ski trails groomed for skate and classic cross country that range from easy trips for beginners to more challenging runs for those with more experience. There are many side loops and runs to chose from, and trails cross open meadows and wind through beautiful woods. There are 3+ miles of packed snowshoe trails within the system. The 5.3-mile Beaver Creek Trail is the primary north/south spine of the system.
