Oakland Bay Historical Park

A park with 2-3 miles of trails on 85 acres and a half mile of shoreline on Oakland Bay northeast of Shelton in Mason County.

Getting There

Drive south on E Agate Rd from SR 3. The park entrance is on your right a half mile past Pioneer School and across from E Julian Rd.

about the park

The Oakland Bay Historical Park consists of mature and second-growth coniferous and deciduous forested area, with forested marine shoreline and estuarine areas as well as forested riparian creek areas.  It provides critical habitat for a wide variety of mammals, fish, birds, and amphibians.  The trail system consists of 2-3 miles of trail, overlook areas, restrooms, picnic tables, interpretive signs and parking.
