Peak 6,050 (aka Not Bryant)

Officially Peak 6,050, Not Bryant is a peak on the ridge between Bryant Peak and Chair Peak near Snoqualmie Pass. It is a scramble of 7 miles with 2,950 feet of gain.

Temporary Closure

6/32/2022 Update: The Snow Lake Trail is closed this summer for trail reconstruction. Work begins June 16 and will be completed by October for trail improvements. See the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest's 2022 Trail Closures on the I-90 Corridor web page for more info.

Getting There

Take Exit 52 off of I-9 turn left to drive under I-90 and follow Alpental Road (Forest Road 9040) to the Alpental Ski Area parking lot.

approach & ascent

Hike the Snow Lake Trail for 1.5 mi to the Source Lake cutoff. Hike past Source Lake passing it on its north side.  Continue off trail heading generally west towards the peak at 6,050 ft on the ridge between Bryant Peak to the south and Chair Peak to the north.

As of 2017, the Snoqualmie Ranger District considers Mountaineers trips and courses to be "nominal use". Leaders should print and copy this designation letter to show rangers they may see on trail or carry a digital copy on their phone.
