Ketron Island Circumnavigation

Paddle around the privately-owned island in south Puget Sound near Steilacoom and the Nisqually Delta.

launch points

on the water

Because Ketron Island is privately owned, there are no landing sites on the island.  Possible lunch or break stops can be found at spots along the main shoreline. Solo Point provides a great lunch stop and Cole Point works well for a break on the leg south. The current through Cormorant Passage experiences an ebb but minimal to weak flood, and a tidal race can exist south of Lyle Point on Anderson Island in a flood.
