Foss Peak/Unicorn Creek

Foss Peak, also known as Manatee Mountain, is a 6,524 feet summit in the Tatoosh Range. The moderate trip is commonly done in snow, with enjoyable views of other peaks on the southern side of Mount Rainier.

This is one of the very few peaks in the Cascades (or anywhere) named for a prominent local female businesswoman, Thea Foss, of Tacoma, who started what became the Foss Maritime Company in 1889.
