Barclay Lake

Barclay Lake is an easy, 4.4 mile snowshoe hike with just 225 ft in elevation gain. The trail follows Barclay Creek up through forests and under the vertiginous Baring Mountain and Merchant Peak.

This is a beautiful lake at the foot of a huge cliff on the north side of Mt. Baring. Trail parallels Barclay Creek most of the way to the lake. Snow on the forest road varies significantly based on the season and recent snowfall. Be prepared to park All-Wheel drive vehicles and hike to trailhead. There is a privy at the trailhead and parking for about 20 cars.
