A pristine area that is rarely visited. We will drop off a single car for drivers at the Comet Falls parking lot in the morning, then continue on to the Nisqually Bridge parking area to begin our trip. After visiting Wilson Park we will cross the cleaver (nominally at ~6200’, depends on conditions) to reach Van Trump Park (possibly as high as 7700’) then descend via the Comet Falls trail to our carefully positioned shuttle car.
- Leader’s permission due to the obvious strenuousness of this trip (ideally a week prior to signup opening, when requesting please describe your recent trips: dates, gain and distance).
- A trip report describing a nominal experience at this venue can be found here (although this outing will be a shorter and easier version, with a Wilson Cleaver crossing at 6200’). Photos from prior trips to this venue can be seen here.
Arranged via email, plan for 7am meeting time.
