Destination subject to change depending on weather, road closures, avalanche risks, and where we need to go to find good snow.
It is time dust off your winter scramble kit. Find those handwarmers. Put those snow baskets back on your trekking poles. Replace the batteries in your avy beacon and your headlamp. These and myriad other tasks are part of the annual cycle of transitioning to the seasons. This trip will be the nudge to do what you need to do.
Note on pace: I am nearly 70 years old. I only go at a slow to moderate pace. If you are looking for a fast-paced aerobit workout, find another leader.
