We will meet at the Park and Ride located at 10617 S Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA 98499 by 6:15 am. Meet close to the Mcdonalds at the North end of the lot.
From there we will carpool to the Kautz creek trailhead with an expected arrival time of around 7:40 am.
Tumtum should be a fairly easy standard winter scramble. Due to the recent storms and flooding that closed the park the trail conditions are unknown at this time by the park. I was told to expect lots of downed trees in the area and they are unsure if the crossing is intact at Kautz creek. This may end up just being an early season scouting trip into the area. If we find that we cannot cross Kautz creek safely we may fall back and visit another area of the park for the day.
