Winter Scramble - The Yurt

This is my most favorite overnight trip to the magical MTTA Yurt. 6+ mile snowshoe in with a stop in one direction at bruni's bowl, hopefully for amazing views of rainier. Scramble up Griffin.

This is an overnight trip in a small, intimate place. There is room for 5 or 6 in the single room of the yurt itself, but we could have some overflow folks who are willing to camp in the snow and hang out in the yurt. The MTTA yurt offers a gas heater, full kitchen, water, a great space to relax, games and possibly the nicest outhouse I've ever been to. We will need to bring bedding, and food and drink to share, with an emphasis on bringing gourmet options, drinks, appetizers.  I expect we will need snowshoes, maybe spikes. The scrambling is really not the focus -- it is more about sharing an amazing experience.

When requesting permission please indicate if you are willing to camp. I do have a 1 person 4 season tent that I can lend out.

I've paid for the reservation for the yurt so expect to put in about $25 pp for the overnight plus money for the parking permit. If you are camping, throw in a minor amount to help support the overall group.  Because we are over-nighting, permission required.

We will leave from Seattle/Renton Tues morning (7 ish). Drivers require a groomed snowpark pass so carpooling is highly encouraged.
