From Exit 34 on I-90, drive north on 468th Ave SE and then turn right onto SE Middle Fork Rd. It becomes Forest Road 56. Continue on Forest Road 56 to the Middle Fork Trailhead.
Optional: Waving hello to folks parking at Mailbox on Middle Fork.
Recent rains probably have melted snow on approach trail so microspikes and boots probably will get us most of the way down trail before leaving trail at 3200' heading SW then W to gain ridge at 4000'. We will take turns kicking steps as needed to 4518" summit.
