  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 11.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 5,100 ft

TBD - depends on participants.  Location depends in part on where overnight parking won't result in towed vehicle[s].

Carrying overnight gear up this much elevation (even at a moderate pace) is bound to be challenging.  I'm posting this trip for two weekends - we'll go on the first (Mar 21,22) if weather is tolerable.  {long-term forecast so far looks promising!}  The second (Mar 28,29) is a backup date, signup for that will only open if the first date's weather looks bad.

Required Equipment

Required Equipment

  • The Ten Essentials
  • Helmet
  • Crampons optional, but must have at least microspikes
  • Ice Axe
  • Mountaineering Boots
  • MSR snowshoes
  • personal-use hand sanitizer (min 60% alcohol)

Check with leader for any additional group gear or required equipment specific to trip location.

We'll want to have a couple of shovels in our gear.  We will share stoves, water purifiers.  Due to COVID-19 I encourage single-occupancy tents for everyone.  If you have any "cold" or flu symptoms - do not come on this trip.
