As always in my trips, please come prepared to Navigate, as I would most probably not done this peak - I posted . We will be moving at a brisk pace and we will be breaking trail as a team. Destination subject to change at the last minute on account of weather, snow, and avalanche conditions.
Pace: We will be doing an aggressively moderate pace (which means gaining 1.5k- 2k feet in 1 hr in snow free trail, 1k feet in snowshoes where we break trail). We will however stop for 1-2 minutes every 30-45 minutes and 5-7 minutes at each summit if the weather is good.
Downhill: I like to have a faster pace downhill, participants should be comfortable plunge stepping in fresh snow with snowshoes and move at a faster pace downhill.
Trip plan: The plan is to do an out and back trip, starting from the Cle Elum River Campground and on to the tree covered Sasse peak - We will probably bushwhack in snowshoes to Not so Sasse peak.
Did you know Sunday weather is supposed to be "Sunny" - I don't believe it - so lets go bushwhack and conditioning in Easter washington.
Mexican Food probably after a well earned summit.
Carpool: In all my trips , carpool is mandatory, we will meet at Issaquah Park and Ride at 6AM. We will require snow park permits for cars that drive. For people who are carpooling 20$ is an advised amount to pay for drivers, but $ amount upto discretion between drivers and passengers
