Sunny Thanksgiving day : Moderate Winter scramble / easy snowshoe to Roaring Ridge on Snoqualmie pass.

  • Moderate
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 8.2
  • Elevation Gain: 2,100 ft

We will meet at the trailhead at 8.00AM for a relaxed start on a cold winter day

[In winter trips, summit may or maynot be the destination, trip success is only possible if everyone participates in navigation and trail breaking]

This is a moderate paced hike and an easy scramble. This trip is more or less a hike. There is rain the forecast, but we might be lucky to get some views. So please come layered with rain gear and gaiters. There could be some snow along the way, but not enough to warrant snowshoes. Please bring microspikes.

Like in every early winter, the conditions are known to change depending on weather and the risks are high.

Please come prepared to help navigate and also to keep a brisk pace and expect to break trail as needed

To help self assess - if you can hike up 1000 feet or 1.5 miles an hour.

[Mountaineers trips are led by volunteer leaders, who want to share their enthusiasm for the outdoors, with others. On that note, last minute cancellations will be frowned upon]
