Winter Scramble - Point 5692
Glorious views with winter wonderland overtones owing to a campsite near our very own subalpine lake (Lake 4525) plus the west face of a certain 14000’ mountain just east of us. We should see very few other people (if any) on this 27 mile/5000’ gain overnight outing.

An overnight alpine adventure in as remote a spot as can be squeezed into a weekend by our long trek up the West Side Road (made more remote by its winter closure at the Longmire Road). Only for very experienced and well conditioned folks due to the complexities of overnight winter camping (heavy loads) combined with snowshoe trail breaking through fresh/deep snow.
Our cross country line can be seen here.
