  • Winter Scramble
  • Elevation Gain: 4,100 ft
7:00 AM at Issaquah Transit Center
Note that winter scrambles are open only to GRADUATES of the Scramble or Basic Climbing class. Students of either one must wait until next year to participate

Teneriffe is on the ridge with Mt Si, just a bit further east.

Meet inside the Issaquah Transit Center parking garage on the first floor in the Northeast corner at 7:00 AM. Call me on my cell phone at 425-442-6411 if you are running late and want us to wait for you.

- Ice Axe is always required.
- Snowshoes with aggressive points on the bottom such as MSR.
- Microspikes or Crampons.
- Avalanche beacon, shovel and probe. Not required for this trip, but it is recommended that you have them and know how to use it for trips later in the season.
- Discovery Pass is needed at the trailhead

We will take the Serendipity Ridge route to the summit. If it is not too windy or nasty, we will hike from the summit of Teneriffe northwest over to the road, then north, up to "Dixey" 4606, then South and Southwest along the ridge almost over to Mt Si before we drop down to the Teneriffe road and follow it back to the cars.
Note that this extra "adventure" will add a couple hours, so don't plan on this being a quick up-and-down of Teneriffe.
