Annual winter trek up my favorite volcano before permit season begins. Will choose the better of two days.

Marble Mountain Sno-Park per trip plan (it will be early!). Sno-park permit (non-groomed) REQUIRED for all vehicles.

  • Permission requests prior to the registration opening date will be ignored. Set a calendar reminder. 
  • As the date approaches, I'll choose the more favorable day. Be forewarned that this trip often gets postponed due to weather and/or avalanche danger. 
  • Participants must be comfortable glissading.
  • This is a very strenuous trip. Participants must have an active winter conditioning routine. A reasonable benchmark would be reaching the summit of Mailbox Peak via the Old Trail in under 2.5 hours.
