With the delay in the seasonal fall rains, we will get one more weekend of good weather. Since permits are no longer required after November 1, this is a perfect opportunity to hop on the summer route of Mt. St. Helens.
This will be my 4th time up, but 1st on the summer route so this is considered an exploratory trip. The days are shorter, so we want to get a good early start so we can be back to the cars by sunset.
Please be prepared to ascend at an approximate 1,000/ft per hour. I go at a moderate pace and we'll take breaks for food, water, and photos as we need them.
If the weather deteriorates before 11/11, we will scramble something closer to home.
