  • Mileage: 8.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,000 ft

Meet at the Annette Lake trailhead and be ready to go at 7:15AM sharp.  WE WILL NOT BE STARTING FROM HYAK.  From Seattle, take I-90 to Exit 47.  Turn right at the stop and go about 1/4 mile to the "T".  Turn left at the T and go about 1/4 mile to the Annette Lake trailhead parking lot.  If the road is blocked at the T, park near the T being careful not to block any of the roadway.  Drivers will need a NW Forrest Pass.  If you do not have one you can purchase one at the Chevron station in North Bend.

Be prepared for wet, windy, and vile weather.  This route is longer and has more elevation gain and bushwacking than the Hyak route, so plan accordingly.  Bring ice axe, helmet, and snowshoes.  Depending on conditions, crampons can be helpful but are not required.  This will require a full day so plan on being on the move for 8 hours at a moderate pace.  This is a really fun outing!
