Winter Scramble - Mildred Point

Beautiful and strenuous one day, one way loop traverse (~3400' gain, ~10 miles) from Longmire to partially and fantastically frozen Comet Falls, lower Van Trump Park, Mildred Point, and then back to Longmire by way of Rampart Ridge.

Various P&Rs to accommodate attendees, then 7am at Longmire near the museum for a last use of the heated restrooms.

Beautiful and strenuous one day, one way loop traverse (~3400' gain, ~10 miles) from Longmire to partially and fantastically frozen Comet Falls, lower Van Trump Park, Mildred Point, and then back to Longmire by way of Rampart Ridge.  Will be going cross country between Cougar Rock campground and Comet Falls trailhead which will accommodate folks interested in practicing their map and compass skills.
