Required:
- Crampons (not MicroSpikes)
- Helmet
- Ice ax
- Headlamp with good batteries
- Harness (such as a webbing harness tied with a water knot)
- Locking carabiner
- Cord loop (for a klemheist or prusik)
- Orange NW Forest Pass for each vehicle
Optional/Recommended:
- Snowshoes
- Avalanche gear (metal shovel, probe, beacon)
- GPS unit
This is on a Friday.
The summit can get really icy, so crampons are a must.
Sunrise at 8am, sunset at 4:30pm.
There might be morning rush hour traffic.

We'll only do this trip if the avalanche conditions are safe and if the weather forecasts are friendly (friendly = no storms, no high winds, and no single-digit temps). If the trip is canceled then there won't be an alternate destination.
When to meet:
Fri 7:30am (we'll leave the cars and start hiking then)
